You ask us all the time; what's it like to run a dairy operation?

The answer....it's a LOT of work, but truly a labor of love!

We have one family who lives, breathes, eats and sleeps running our farm. Each morning the goats are milked, the chores are completed, the animals are fed and the kids (baby goats) are cared for. In the afternoon, more chores, more feed, more care and then all 900 goats are milked again.

 - - during the summer months, all the above happens, while all the field work for our feed also takes place!

 - - during the winter months is when our goats 'kid out' (have babies). Often times a mother goat will have twins, so if you can imagine the atmosphere with 900 moms + another potential 1800 babies! So winter or summer, there's never any shortage of things to do!

Running our cheese business is a lot of fun but also a lot of work and a labor of love! We always say the most important ingredient in our cheese is our 100% farmstead goat's milk. While this is true, we could not create our cheese without the help of our artisan cheese maker, packing, finishing and delivery teams. The goat cheese market is rapidly growing and we work ever so closely with our retail clients to help add value to them and the customer to provide the most superior goat cheese on the market.
